Celtic Christmas & Highlights from 2025

  • Post category:Performances

Year 2 of Kate Spanos Irish Dance is in the books! We wrapped up the year with one more gig at the CCÉ Celtic Christmas Concert in Herndon, VA, alongside other incredible Irish musicians. We shone bright in our gold shimmer dresses and donned Santa hats to get into the holiday spirit!

Thanks to all the talented dancers and musicians who made this year so much fun, and all the supporters who helped out in so many different ways. It’s been a whirlwind, and I’ve been enjoying every moment of it. Check out the highlights in the video above!

In 2025, we had 17 gigs, including festivals, concerts, céilís, and special workshops, plus 77 regular classes (sean nós, festival/step dance, traditional solo sets, and jam sessions). Countless breakdown videos, lesson plans, set lists, rehearsals, and new choreographies, big and small. That’s also 113 studio rental sessions booked and paid for, so if anyone wants to buy me a dance studio + insurance in the new year… 🙃

My mission is to share all the different ways there are to be an Irish dancer. At the end of the day, Irish dance is about joyful expression to this music that we love so much—that gets us on our feet and inspires this contagious, joyful hopping.

I’m looking forward to more dancing with more people in 2026! Registration for the new semester is open now.
