Earlier this month, we returned to the Cow Palace to perform at the Maryland Irish Festival! Our group of 10 dancers was joined by all-star musicians Jessica Zito on fiddle and Richard Osban Hearn on bouzouk for a 40-minute set on the Tullamore Dew stage.
We performed a lively set of festival style, sean nós, and feis style Irish dance, as well as a set of old style traditional set dances (St. Patrick’s Day versions from Cork and North Kerry and the Humours of Bandon from Cork). We also performed Marga’s, a duet in light and heavy shoes to the tune in 7/8 time by Brian Finnegan.
As always, we enjoyed seeing the other performers and perusing all the Irish and Celtic product vendors on site. Thanks to the organizers for inviting us again!
